360PR Engages New Fans and Drive Sales for Jarden Home Brand’s Ball® Brand Home Canning Line

360PR took Ball® brand home canning products from zero to over 10,000 followers in under a year on Pinterest. Capturing the fervor and appreciation for the brand by the DIY, craft and foodie audiences prevalent on the platform, 360PR curated a variety of compelling boards to engage followers, including Getting Started for new canners, I Do for wedding inspiration, In The Garden to highlight seasonal recipes, and Clever Solutions with home décor and clever storage ideas.

Promotions that are a fit with the brand expressly designed to leverage the Pinterest platform are part of an effective strategy. Building on 360PR’s strong blogger relations for the Ball brand, we engaged leading pinners to create their own special uses celebrating the launch of the limited edition Ball brand® Heritage jars. Consumers on Pinterest were invited to re-pin bloggers’ crafts and projects featuring the Ball jars for a chance to win their own case of the limited edition Ball brand Heritage jars – fueling demand for the jars.

Another promotion integrated with the National Can-It-Forward Day PR program to spur bloggers to pin canning recipes on a shared board. The week-long contest generated 1,000 new followers for the page, as well as repins and likes reaching a broader consumer audience. As a result of our work, Pinterest is a top-10 referrer to the Ball brand web site and e-commerce store.
