How it came to be
Legions of fans were eagerly anticipating this month’s premiere of Season 4 of PBS’ hit series Downton Abbey. As a way to celebrate the return of the Crawleys into American households, 360PR served up simply splendid home viewing party ideas to media, complete with recipes featuring several of our food clients. Gail Ciampa, food editor for The Providence Journal, was among one of the many who shared the viewing party idea with her readers along with our recipes, such as Asparagus and Prosciutto Roll Ups from Nasoya, White Cheddar and Sage Biscuits from Sir Kensington’s and Gingerbread Waffles Mini Sandwiches with Cream Cheese Icing from Krusteaz.
Why it matters
We made these food brands relevant by creatively linking them to a true pop-culture event and gave media beyond the TV pages a way to get in on one of TV’s biggest events. Ciampa’s article is just one example of how our media pros take a broader view and develop unexpected pitches that have great appeal and make brands relevant every day.
